As President and CEO of DotPartners, I feel obligated to tell you that I am a pretty
normal and humble guy. Please understand that by writing this bio it works against
my humility, but I will do the best I can. So, here goes.
I am a hybrid, being half business and half tech. I've always been somewhat of a
MacGyver and I work in the trenches alongside my colleagues. Every day I come to
work with one goal in mind. That goal is to make DotPartners as valuable as I possibly
can. How do I do this, you may ask? First, you have to realize that you cannot do
it all and you are not the smartest person. I realized this long ago and the result
is my phenomenal and brilliant team. Second, you have to believe in yourself and
your team. This will help with all the risks you have to take. Sacrifices must also
be made, especially financial ones. I consider it a huge win for DP that our company
is considerably in the black and growing at a rapid rate. Being honest, loyal, dedicated,
and hard working also go along ways. As a result, we have a pretty impressive client
list for only 3 years of existence. I also place a lot of weight and value our client
and candidate relationships. A quick phrase I have to sum up the importance of relationships
is, "People over Profit". Entire enterprise systems are built to help manage these
relationships, so they must be important right? Last, in this rough economy, I quickly
realized that in order to succeed you have to provide something that other's cannot.
That is why our service and our rates are so good. We believe in providing a high
quality service for a highly competitive rate. A quick phrase I have to describe
this ideology is "Growth over Greed." Bottom line, it works.
Coming up through the ranks in IT, I chose the technical route over management.
After several levels of programmer and architect, I then had to make the shift to
the business side to start DP. My degree in Management Information Systems helped
with this. It was at that time I realized the importance and all the money I spent
on my college degree! Having a strong technical side, some of the projects in which
I played a key role may be of interest to you. Here is a list:
- Created my own proprietary Desktop Application Framework
- Web-based software to plan, create, manage, and maintain military networks
- Largest and most advanced electronic real-estate platform for appraisers, real estate
agents, mortgage brokers, and home inspectors
- Enterprise Point of Sale System
- Enterprise system to support billion dollar energy/fuel transport company
- Highly-interactive public-facing SharePoint-hosted site branded for retail auto
sales
- Enterprise/Middleware to enable communications between ERP and Truck Messaging System
- Highly-interactive public-facing hotel lobby information appliance
- Numerous Enterprise SharePoint and BizTalk implementations
- Enterprise Human Resources application with associated workflow
From the business side there are a couple of things to note. One being that I was
a normal, everyday programmer/architect that created a staffing/consulting company
out of thin air. In addition, I recruited and befriended an extraordinary team.
I really cannot tell you enough about the team that stands behind me. On a personal
level, I enjoy golf, video games, Music / DJ Remix, Football, and Basketball. And
last, the two most important things in my life are my family and my faith. Both
provide the foundation for my continued success, happiness, and prosperity.

Having been on both sides of the ball when it comes to Staff Augmentation and True
Consulting, I have learned a few vital lessons that DotPartners tries to transfer
in our day-to-day efforts. Having seen “examples” of both, regarding our potential
clients, I’ve found that companies want to be truly consulted with on whatever
makes business sense for them by technical, hands-on subject matter experts, who
are “in the trenches”, doing this on a daily basis. This is where our DP Core Team
comes into play. Whether it is a farmed out solution, a position to be permanently
filled, or perhaps providing temporary help, companies can rest assured that their
requirements and needs are getting technically screened by our core team of consultants,
not just “word matched” by recruiters.
Regarding candidates, you can count on 3 things: 1) We will try to find you the
opportunity you WANT while 2) NOT hitting you up for leads 3) And we will NOT waste
your time. If it makes business sense for us to meet about an opportunity, we will.
But we will not endlessly post “ghost” or “shell” job postings, simply in an effort
to strip people of leads or to hit our call / candidate “numbers” or “quota”. We’ve
seen it. We can’t stand it.

As a former US Army Soldier and Consultant I have seen both ends of the spectrum
in IT Shops. I have seen the type of shop that takes weeks or even months to get
a project accomplished because it is being over projected managed. I have also seen
the shop that "just wants it done" for the least amount of money and time and does
not really know the solution they need. Having lived through these experiences I
have found one thing that I always want to bring to the table, and that is giving
the client the right solution to fit their needs. So many times will you see companies

Having been a professional software developer and architect for the last 15 years,
I appreciate the promise good software design offers as well as the power it provides.
As a practicing consultant for 8 years of that time, I also understand that the
wishes of the client are often not born out of want but of need. I want my clients

Tad Burgess

Being a former CEO of an online marketing company, I quickly learned how vital it
is to find good people WITHOUT monopolizing the time of my own internal resources.
